![]() I took it back to Best Buy (I have a BB Totaltech membership which gave me additional support options) BB under the totaltech warranty offered to either replace with another Verizon S22U (which would trigger a second "activation" fee of $35 + 60 more days to unlock) or to refund my money I picked the refund since BB was running many trade-in promos on the Samsung S and Z range and I expected to get a replacement for less. Their only comment was that if the pSIM was not unlocked, it was something in the SW that needed Samsung to correct. I had initially activated with eSIM, and was trying to switch to pSIM the eSIM IMEI was the one that was showing up in their systems as being "unlocked". ![]() In my case -after 3 rounds with Verizon chat & store support they insisted that their system showed the phone as unlocked. Upon startup the other network - T-mo or AT&T - would show in the notification area but I'd get a message saying sim switched and needing to restart when restarted, I'd get a "not supported" message and service would not be available. I'd bought a Verizon branded S22U from Best Buy after 60 days, Verizon said their systems showed that it was unlocked, but I was never able to use a non Verizon sim in it. However, when I use my T-Mobile sim card in it, it works fine. ![]() I have an S22 ultra that is carrier locked to Verizon.
